Wings Dings

Wings Dings
Juicy and tender chicken wings are smothered in a rich and sticky sauce, made using store-cupboard ingredients you'll likely already have to hand.

10-15 minutes prep, 1 hour cook

Serves 4

Ingredients

2.3kg chicken wings

3 teaspoons paprika

Salt and pepper

100ml vegetable oil

100ml Black Garlic Ketchup

50ml tomato ketchup

1 tablespoon crushed garlic

6 tablespoons white wine vinegar

2 tablespoons Hawkshead Relish Worcester Sauce

2 tablespoons Chilli Jam

1 teaspoon Hawkshead Relish honey mustard

4 tablespoons melted butter

Method

Preheat the oven to 200°c.

Sprinkle the wings with paprika and season them with salt and pepper, then pour over a little vegetable oil and cook in the oven for 15 minutes.

Mix the rest of the ingredients together in a small saucepan, heat until the mixture reaches boiling point and then remove from the heat.

Place the chicken wings in a shallow ovenproof dish, brush with the sauce and cook in the hot oven for 15 minutes. Turn the wings over and brush them again then cook for another 15 minutes. Take the wings out of the oven, pour the rest of the sauce over them and then put back in the oven for at least 15 more minutes, until the wings have been in the oven for over 1 hour in total.

Serve with rice and salad, or cooled as a picnic dish.
